Updated Sept 16, 2021
Yesterday the Provincial government announced some new restrictions to help improve the current state of the pandemic in Alberta. We wanted to reach out and confirm the direction we have decided to proceed here, at the North East Sportsplex.
Starting today, Sept 16, 2021, we have a capacity restriction of 1/3 of our fire code until Sunday Sept 19, 2021, at 11:59pm. Social distancing is required in all areas in the building and of course masks or face coverings are still mandatory while in all public spaces.
Starting on Sept 20, 2021 we will be implementing the Restrictions Exemption Program, this program states that confirmation or exemption of vaccination or a negative rapid test result are mandatory for all those who enter our facility that are age 12 and over.
Participants under the age of 12 will still have to follow the provincial restrictions which include social distancing in the dressing room, symptom screening and masking (Masks may be removed when participating in their activity.)
All user groups must confirm any participants, coaches or spectators that are age 12 and over in the building as part of their booking have provided confirmation or exemption of vaccination, or a negative rapid test result to the user group organizer. This information must be available to be provided at the request of the NE Sportsplex or AHS at any time.
If you have any questions, all information on restrictions can be found at https://www.alberta.ca/covid-19-public-health-actions.aspx
Thank you for your continued compliance and understanding as we navigate through these unprecedented times.
Each user group must have a Representative at every booking time who will take responsibility for ensuring all current COVID-19 Guidelines are followed.
Isolation and quarentine requirements are still in place, please refer to this link for more infomation
